Course Description

This course provides technician focused instruction and training for the successful production of sterile pareenteral preparations which is a major responsibility of the pharmacy technician in hospitals, long term care facilities and home healthcare settings. This course provides hands-on experience and mastery in aseptic techniques and sterile IV admixture preparation. The course addresses incompatibility and stability issues, irrigation solutions, calculations for intravenous solutions, total parenteral nutrition and chemotheraphy preparations.
